Free garage parking for Harrisburg residents as city prepares for snowstorm

Harrisburg, PA – Beginning midday Sunday, Harrisburg residents will have free parking in a downtown garage, as a winter storm is expected to hit the area.

Residents can park in the Locust Street Garage from noon on Sunday through 8 p.m. on Monday.

The garage, located at 214 Locust Street, has 628 spaces in total.

The city is encouraging residents to use the garage. In efforts to clear the streets, the city advices if residents should park their cars on the street, to park as close to the curb as possible and stay away from intersections as trucks will need easy access to plow the street.
