PARK HARRISBURG MULTI-SPACE METERS
The on-street meters are enforced Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please see below for specifics on rates, payment options and time limits in each zone. In most areas, the rate is $4.00 per hour payable in 15-minute increments by either quarters or credit cards. Enforcement of spaces outside the Park Harrisburg multi-space meter zone are according to the rates and hours published on the original single space meters.
ON STREET METERS
CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT
All on-street parking in Harrisburgโs Central Business District is $4.00 per hour. Once you have located an appropriate meter, the machine will prompt you to enter your license plate number. Next, please select the duration of your stay, followed by your desired payment method. In the Central Business district, you may purchase parking with a credit or debit card, or quarters. The minimum payment with a credit card is $4.00 for 1 hour or one quarter will purchase 5 minutes. You can purchase additional parking time in 15 minute increments with credit cards. If you are paying with quarters, additional parking time can be purchased in 5 minute increments.
NEW MIDTOWN
All on-street parking in Harrisburgโs New Midtown is $2 per hour. New Midtown also offers 15 minutes of free parking. You must select this option from the meter once you have entered your license plate number. Free 15 minute parking is limited to once per hour. If you select 15 minute free parking more than once per hour, you will be ticketed.

In New Midtown, you may purchase parking with a credit or debit card, quarters. The minimum payment with a credit card is $2 for 1 hour or one quarter will purchase 10 minutes. You can purchase additional parking time in 10 minute increments with any form of payment already mentioned.
OLD MIDTOWN AND SOUTH OF CBD
All on-street parking in Harrisburgโs Old Midtown and South of CBD is $2 per hour. Once you have located an appropriate meter, the machine will prompt you to enter your license plate number. Next, please select the duration of your stay, followed by your desired payment method. In Old Midtown and South of CBD, you may purchase parking with a credit or debit card, quarters. The minimum payment with a credit card is $2 for 1 hour or you can purchase 10 minutes with a quarter. You can purchase additional time in 10 minute increments with any form of payment already mentioned.
COIN METERS
Coin Meter parking is in effect 8AM โ 7PM Monday through Saturday. There is no charge for meter parking on Sunday and major holidays, which include New Yearโs Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.2024 HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

EXTEND BY PHONE
Central Business District, New Midtown, and Old Midtown and South of CBD meters are all equipped with a program that allows you to extend your parking duration by phone. Extend by phone payments are limited to credit card transactions, and apply a 25 cent transaction fee to each purchase. Extend by phone will text you when your parking is about to expire. Please respond to the text with the number of minutes you would like to extend (โ30โ for 30 minutes, โ60โ for an hour, etc). You can only extend your parking by phone in increments of 30 minutes. You must add time prior to your current sessionโs expiration. If it has already expired you will no longer be able to add time and will need to find another meter to start a completely new session.REPORT A METER PROBLEM
